Master Plan Update for the 2022-2026 Report

Notice for Hearing

The Ingham County Park Commission has developed a draft Five Year Parks and Recreation Plan. The plan is based on the Guidelines for Community Park, Recreation, Open Space, and Greenway Plans as published by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. The County Park Commission will hold a public hearing with the purpose of hearing comments on the plan at 5:30p.m. on November 15, 2021, at the Ingham County Human Services Building, Building #3, Room D & E, 5303 South Cedar St., Lansing, MI 48911. Copies of the Draft Plan will be available for review at the County Park office, 121 E. Maple St., Mason, MI 48854,  or click HERE, until Monday, November 15, 2021. All interested persons may attend and participate.

The Ingham County Parks Department will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as interpreters for the hearing impaired and audio tapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting for the visually impaired, for individuals with disabilities at the meeting upon five (5) working days notice to the Ingham County Parks Department.   Individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids or services should contact the Ingham County Parks Department in writing or by calling the Ingham County Parks Office at  P O Box 178, Mason, MI 48854 ~ Phone: (517) 676-2233.

Notice for Review

The Ingham County Park Commission developed a draft Five Year Parks and Recreation Plan. It evaluates existing recreation opportunities, reviews public opinion regarding recreation, sets goals and objectives, and proposes a five-year schedule of improvements. Copies of the Draft Plan will be available for review at the County Park office, 121 E. Maple St., Mason, MI 48854, or click HERE until Monday, November 15, 2021

If you are interested in submitting comments regarding the Draft Plan, please send written comments to following address: 121 E. Maple St., Mason, MI 48854, or to parks@ingham.org. 2018-2022 Master Plan
A Public Hearing was held January 17, 2017. The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear suggestions and comments from interested citizens who wished to have their ideas and concerns taken into account before the 2018-2022 Master Plan was finalized. The Board of Commissioners adopted the plan at their March 28, 2017 meeting.
